This is the first card I made with my Yudu Cardshop

I spent the morning playing with my Yudu Cardshop yesterday. This is the first card I have made from all the prints I made. If you plan to get one of these toys, watch the directions/project dvd that comes with it. It is very handy and Jinger does a great job showing you how to use the Yudu Cardshop.

Here are the tips I have for you after I used it.

1. Packing tape works great to block what you don't want to print. It's fairly cheap. I used a generic brand that worked perfect. It comes off easy with water. You should still take it slow when you remove it.
2. Have plenty of paper towels handy.
3. When you go to use the ink. Remove the inside foil so the ink will come out. lol
4. Have a scrap piece of paper handy to lay your squeegee down on between prints.
5. Have all the paper you want to print on cut and ready so you don't waste time between each print that you do. The ink dries fast.
6. Do not become discouraged if your first few prints do not turn out. I did three before I got a good print. It takes a few tries to figure out the pressure you need to use to get a clear print. Also if you get globs (your print is not clear) You are using to much ink. I rinsed my screen and dried it and tried again.
7. I used the ink that came with it quick. Get extra ink! lol I made a ton of prints. It was so much fun.
8. Most Importantly. Clean your screen and squeegee right after use. The ink dries very quick. The longer you wait to clean it the harder it is to clean. If you leave the ink on the screen too long you will ruin it.

What I used to make the card:

Birdcage image screen and Sentiment screen that came with my Yudu Cardshop HSN version.
Tan card stock, black card stock and light blue card stock.
Blue brads on the four corners of the birdcage screen print.
Foam dots to pop up the birdcages and sentiment.
Blue shades of paper flowers and rhinestones in their centers.

I will post more cards from this as I complete them.

Let's Face it Friday - Flower Power {Challenge 12}

Here is what I used to make it.
I used the front page of a old paper pack to make the flower and made one similar to the one found here .
The middle of the flower (circle) was cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge on my Cricut.
I just cut a regular piece of white cardstock and inked the edges red to make the tag.
I used the Wide Eyed Kids face stamp for the center of the flower.

I also inked all of the flower parts with red ink.

Here are the rules:

Thought it would be neat to compare.

I cut these for a friend of mine who doesn't have the Smiley Cards cartridge that is exclusive to the Gypsy right now. I thought I would surprise her and cut some and stamp them with my Peachy keen stamps. So here they are. While the original faces are very cute. I do like the Peachy Keen ones better. They are much easier to use with smaller cuts.

Let's Face it Friday - Think Spring {Handmade Gifts} Challenge

A puppy playing in the flowers says spring to me. Or it could mean the puppy is being naughty! That is why I picked a winking stamp.
The stamp set is PK-494 Everyday Character Face Parts from
Peachy Keen Stamps.
The box was cut from the Seasonal Easter Cartridge.
I hid the rabbit with hide contour with my Gypsy.
The puppy is cut at 4 inches from Four Legged Friends.
I hid the puppy's eyes with hid contour.
The paper is some old current paper I have had for years.
The paper has some real faint light blue flowers on it.
The (For You) stamp is from The Paper Studio / Stampabilities - Everyday Expressions.
It's a really nice set where the words are all separate and an can be put in any order you want.

Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 46

This is for the Peachy Keen Challenge. It's a birthday card for my mom.

To make this card:
I used the Smiley Cards cartridge on my Gypsy. I cut the birthday cake at 3 inches.
For the face on the cake, I used the Peachy Keens PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment stamp set. I used 1 3/8" size.
The printed paper was from We R Memory keepers.
I used pink glitter paper for the icing.
The inside sentiment stamp is from Inkadikado, -friends and family are your whole life set.
I used a gold Martha Stewart glitter pen for the flames and edges of the card
Yellow skittles are used on the four corners of the card.
I used the Spots and Dots Embossing folder from Provo Craft.

Thank You Card

This is a card I made for a friend of mine. I used color pencils to color the butterfly. I plan to get Copics markers. It's just not in my budget right now, so the pencils will have to do. I also used Stickles to make it shine. I hope she likes it!
