Thought it would be neat to compare.

I cut these for a friend of mine who doesn't have the Smiley Cards cartridge that is exclusive to the Gypsy right now. I thought I would surprise her and cut some and stamp them with my Peachy keen stamps. So here they are. While the original faces are very cute. I do like the Peachy Keen ones better. They are much easier to use with smaller cuts.

Let's Face it Friday - Think Spring {Handmade Gifts} Challenge

A puppy playing in the flowers says spring to me. Or it could mean the puppy is being naughty! That is why I picked a winking stamp.
The stamp set is PK-494 Everyday Character Face Parts from
Peachy Keen Stamps.
The box was cut from the Seasonal Easter Cartridge.
I hid the rabbit with hide contour with my Gypsy.
The puppy is cut at 4 inches from Four Legged Friends.
I hid the puppy's eyes with hid contour.
The paper is some old current paper I have had for years.
The paper has some real faint light blue flowers on it.
The (For You) stamp is from The Paper Studio / Stampabilities - Everyday Expressions.
It's a really nice set where the words are all separate and an can be put in any order you want.

For the face on the cake, I used the Peachy Keens PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment stamp set. I used 1 3/8" size.
The printed paper was from We R Memory keepers.
I used pink glitter paper for the icing.
The inside sentiment stamp is from Inkadikado, -friends and family are your whole life set.
I used a gold Martha Stewart glitter pen for the flames and edges of the card
Yellow skittles are used on the four corners of the card.
I used the Spots and Dots Embossing folder from Provo Craft.

Thank You Card

This is a card I made for a friend of mine. I used color pencils to color the butterfly. I plan to get Copics markers. It's just not in my budget right now, so the pencils will have to do. I also used Stickles to make it shine. I hope she likes it!

Let's Face it Friday - Altered Card Storage (Peachy Keen)

This is a Cheezit box and a scrap piece of chipboard I had. I save a ton of cereal boxes and other chipboard items just to alter. I tore the box apart and covered it with pink paper and the lid was done with that wonderful blue paper. Then I put the box back together with the opening on the side.
Then cut a cream color paper 8 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches tall. I used the Martha Stewart loop punch all around this cream paper to create a doily like look. I then cut the Word LOVE from the Storybook Cricut Cartridge. It was cut at 2 inches. There was four different layers to these letters. I love this cartridge. The letters are so fancy.
I cut the flowers, leaves, hearts and circles from the Platin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge. The big flowers with hearts were cut at 2 inches and the inner layer flower was cut at 1 1/2 inches.
Hearts for the faces were cut at 1 inch. The smaller flowers with circle faces were cut at 1 1/2 inches. The circles were cut at.60 inches. The other flowers were 1". Then I just used stickles for the center of the rest of the 1 inch flowers.
The leaves were cut at 1 and 1 1/2 inches.
I used peachy keens PK- 506 Too Much Fun Faces 1/2" face stamps for the centers of the flowers. 3 pieces of double sided stick velcro is used to keep it shut. I plan to keep future Valentines day cards from my husband in here.

  • Design must be new
  • MUST follow sketch w/ TWIST to be eligible for prize

As with all of our sketch challenges, the basic layout should be there, but feel free to flip elements & get creative!

Here is the recipe for my card

The card size is 5" wide and 7" tall

All the printed paper is from The Paper Studio.
-Pink Diagonal Hearts
-Hugs & Kisses
-Tiny Red hearts
The balloons are from Create A Critter. I cut the big one at 3 1/2 inches and the three little ones at 2 inches. I them attached them with foam dots so they would stand out on the page and give the tags something to rest on. I inked all the balloon edges with a red ink pad.
The three tags are from Tags bags boxes and more at 3 inches . I used the seventh one in the first row.
Inside the card I cut the Accent blackout/(birthday Girl) twice from the cartridge Storybook. Once at 4.80 and once at 4.30 on my gypsy.

I used a Martha Stewart scallop 3 dot punch for the trim piece down the middle.

I printed all the sentiments for my card from my computer.

Everything I inked on the card was done with a red ink pad. I used a red glitter pen for the balloons tongue.

The Peachy Keen Stamps I used were - PK-506 Too Much Fun Faces(1/2")for the little balloons, and PK-574 Basic paper Dolls Faces for the big Balloon.

The fun thing about this card is that it has hidden coupons for you valentine. I show a sample of what your coupon can say. The rest are between me and my Valentine. I can't tell you all my secrets. lol So just use your imaginations and find the right coupon for your sweetheart. Also if you like my card please follow my blog I plan to add three new card designs soon. Wish me luck in the contest! Also I love comments!
